A Deer Hunter's Story

This is as true as I can tell it.

Last year I had a bad back and could only hunt a small part of the season. I didn't see any deer. So, I had a plan for this year - hunt a large part of the season for a small deer (so not to hurt my back dragging it out).

Well, things didn't go just as planned. I went in the woods and hunted my ass off and what do I get for a deer to shoot at? A big bastard with a good rack. That rack would catch on everything.

I could see me with a serious back problem dragging this guy out of the woods. So I thought, "Hell! Half the thrill of being a big buck is getting shot at."

So I opened fire. I shot all around the deer giving him the thrill of his life.

I also have to admit that I thought once that I had messed up and hit him with a stray bullet. But nope, I was right on the mark. I hit him right where I missed him the shot before.

So when it was all said and done, he got his thrill and I got mine too. Still got my back to walk around looking for a small one in muzzleloader season.

This is a true hunting story.
